The UK space industry is growing fast and is fast becoming an industry of the future, alongside AI and Life Sciences. The space economy is being transformed right from the heart of Newcastle, a core city in the UK. Through a public, industry and academic collaboration, Newcastle will soon to be home to a North East Space Skills and Technology Centre – A £50m facility developed by Northumbria University, with investment from the UK Space Agency and industry giant Lockheed Martin.
