Newcastle Science Central shortlisted for prestigious awards

Newcastle Science Central, a 24-acre mixed-use development in the heart of Newcastle city centre, has been shortlisted in the LGC (Local Government Chronicle) Awards.

Leading the way in urban innovation and an exemplar in sustainability, Science Central is attracting leading edge scientific organisations to a mixed community, which when complete, will be made up of educational, business, residential and leisure facilities.

The development has been recognised in the Driving Growth category, which looks at the council’s ambitions for the future of its economy and how they are working with local partners to achieve this.
