Newcastle International is the region’s busiest airport, flying to more than 80 destinations worldwide including popular hubs such as London, Amsterdam, Paris and Dubai. It’s a regular award-winner for its work towards net zero carbon emissions, including woodland planting on the surrounding land as well as installing a solar farm and EV charging infrastructure. The airport has ambitions to become net zero by 2035.
A Metro station located in the airport takes passengers from the airport to Newcastle city centre in 20 minutes.
