Building communities, not just houses

Over 500,000 homes will be built through new National Housing Bank, and the UK Government is reviving the New Towns concept to drive housing targets and create more resilient communities.

Forth Yards in Newcastle is the city’s last major riverside brownfield site, offering a huge opportunity to transform former industrial land into a new, vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood with up to 2,500 homes, jobs, green spaces, and improved city gateway, boosting the economy and providing much-needed housing. Baltic Quarter in Gateshead have taken a major step forward with a pre-development agreement looking to create a new neighbourhood with around 1,600 homes.

This session will deep dive into solutions for the housing crisis, new solutions and innovative ideas to create resilient and thriving communities of the future.

This panel brings together investors, developers, government and urban experts to explore the latest trends.
