Health Innovation Neighbourhood is a planned £500m development in Newcastle upon Tyne that will blend world-class research facilities with residential infrastructure that meets the needs of a changing population and environment. Led by Newcastle University, the vision is for the scheme to be an exemplar in promoting new ways of living that lengthen the health span as well as life span.

This event will bring together leaders from higher education and real estate for a discussion about how to promote health and wellbeing in placemaking, asking what public and private entities need to do to create thriving communities where people can lead healthier and happier lives.

A presentation highlighting the latest updates on the Health Innovation Neighbourhood development will be followed by an open panel discussion exploring how to incorporate health-promoting design features into the built environment, such as green spaces, pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, and accessible amenities.
