Transport planning, infrastructure engineering and flood risk consultancy supports more than 3,000 homes and 1.25 million sq ft of development as Newcastle team continues to expand.
Andrew Moseley Associates (AMA) is celebrating one year since opening its Newcastle office, marking a successful first 12 months that has seen the consultancy support major development projects, grow its regional team and establish a strong presence across the North East.
Since launching its Newcastle base, AMA has helped bring forward development and investment opportunities supporting more than 3,000 homes and 1.25 million sq ft of commercial development. This totals over 100 projects delivered ranging from strategic housing and employment sites to city-centre regeneration, retail schemes and student accommodation.
The business has expanded its Newcastle team to five people following two recent appointments at its Haylofts office. Further recruitment is already planned, with AMA also taking larger premises at the same location as part of its ongoing investment in the North East.
Over the past year, the team has become involved in several of the area’s most significant development projects.
Among them is the recently approved West Hartford development in Cramlington, a major employment-led scheme expected to create around 2,000 jobs and establish one of the region’s leading new business and industrial hubs, further strengthening Northumberland’s position as a destination for investment.
AMA has also been appointed to One Founders Place for Igloo Regeneration, a landmark mixed-use development within Newcastle’s Stephenson Quarter. The scheme forms part of the wider regeneration south of Central Station and reflects growing demand for sustainable, people-focused development.
Alongside these flagship projects, AMA continues to support clients including Aldi and McDonald’s through national framework appointments, as well as regional and national developers such as Banks Group, Church Commissioners and Bellway.
Andrew Moseley, Managing Director at AMA, said:
“When we opened our Newcastle office a year ago, our ambition was to become part of the North East’s development community and support the fantastic projects shaping the region.
What has stood out most is the warm welcome we’ve received from clients, local authorities and fellow professionals. The North East has a strong collaborative culture, and we’ve been fortunate to build some excellent relationships over the past 12 months.
We’re proud to have helped bring forward projects that will deliver new homes, jobs and investment, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead. As we enter our second year, we’re committed to growing our team, strengthening our presence and continuing to support projects that make a positive impact across the region.”
