BIM Show Live is a hard-hitting, content driven, high-profile event on the global construction stage. Known for its forward thinking interpretations of modern construction methods, techniques and technologies.
The show has been running in the UK since 2011, and for the first time, BIM Show Live is to be held in Newcastle, the UK’s industrial powerhouse for manufacturing and engineering.
The UK is an international leader in Building Information Modelling (BIM), and BIM Show Live is a driving force for the implementation of BIM processes after having grown into one of the most trusted information-sharing platforms for digital construction.
Newcastle upon Tyne is a centre of excellence for digital construction in the UK, driven by a strong academic base with leading universities serving the sector and a competitive architectural market.
Space Group, BIM Technoligies, BIMstore and BIM Academy are all headquartered in Newcastle, and are but a few within a North East hub of the innovative BIM consultancies, enjoying both national and international reputation, after delivering a multitude of acclaimed projects including the Sydney Opera House and Wimbledon No. 1 Court.
This two-day event, being held on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 February 2017, will bring together global construction professionals from all aspects of the built environment. Far from just another construction conference, BIM Show Live delves into the processes and the people – bringing success stories from those who have truly embraced the benefits of BIM and what this means to their organisations and projects.
The benefits of BIM in construction projects are very clear, it brings greater visualisation, coordination and information retrieval for designers, which in turn, generates an information-rich model for the client. These smarter building methods, and the use of product data and technology, enable growth and deliver a better quality of life.
The premise of the event is less of a rigid structure than your typical conference, Rob Charlton, CEO of Space Group, and one of the founding partners of BIM Show Live said: “The reason BIM Show Live is different is because we try to get the environment right, by encouraging debate, information exchange and knowledge sharing – with opportunities to develop relationships beyond the confines of just a conversation around BIM.
We blend fresh ideas and incredible technologies with new ways of thinking, which has a genuine positive impact on businesses.”
The event plans to provide visitors with all they need to know about how to build better with BIM, how to make it work for them and capitalise on the opportunities it brings, as well as forthcoming trends for BIM Level 3 as our industry continues to digitise.
Delegates are invited to attend from all across the globe, and there are opportunities available for international delegates to receive free admission to the conference and discounted accommodation. For more information and to apply for a free ticket contact invest@ngi.org.uk.
