A leading North East office park has secured 100,000 sq.ft of take-up in the first half of 2020 after concluding its latest letting to an efficiency solutions company.
Shared Services Connected Ltd (SSCL) is in the process of fitting out a 35,000 sq.ft floor plate within the Neon building on the recently rebranded Quorum Park, after signing a 10-year lease with landlord, Shelborn Asset Management.
The second floor of Neon will be a standalone contact centre for SSCL which delivers savings for UK taxpayers through large-scale transformation solutions across HR, payroll, IT, finance and accounting by working with Government agencies and the public sector.
Meanwhile, Northern Recruitment Group (NRG) has just announced its acquisition of 9,400 sq.ft on the ground floor of Neon, where it will relocate to this summer from its long term headquarters on Grey Street in Newcastle city centre.
The lettings are the latest in a series of deals secured by joint agents Avison Young and Cushman & Wakefield since Shelborn Asset Management acquired around half of the park’s assets late last year.
Since its acquisition, Shelborn has also welcomed smart alarm systems provider Verisure, managed print services firm Concept Group, and engineering and architectural consultancy Rambol to the park.
Brian Rabinowitz, director of Shelborn Asset Management, said: “Despite the uncertainty of the last few months, we’ve seen a tremendous level of take up at Quorum Park in the first half of the year, and with 100,000 sq. ft. already let since we took ownership in the autumn, we’re incredibly pleased with how things are going.
“We have recently refreshed the Quorum brand, launched a new website for the park and have a number of exciting plans in the pipeline which will enhance Quorum’s strong reputation even further.”
Greg Davison, partner at Cushman & Wakefield, added: “Our lettings in the first two quarters of 2020 perfectly demonstrate Quorum’s long lasting appeal amongst a wide range of forward-thinking organisations looking for good amenities and a modern working environment.
“Despite the challenges of Covid-19, high quality office space is still in high demand across the region. Thanks to the design and scale of buildings such as Q11, Q12 and Neon, companies like SSCL can efficiently accommodate all of their staff on a single floor, while feeling part of a wider business community.”
Quorum Park, which is also home to brands such as Home Group, Greggs, Balfour Beatty and Tesco Bank, is located four miles from Newcastle city centre, and tenants benefit from on-site sports and leisure amenities, a children’s nursery and retail facilities.
Property consultancy Vail Williams acted on behalf of SSCL, whose staff will relocate from nearby Tyneview Park, and expect to be operational from their new home at Quorum in September.
