Independent digital transformation business, Redesmere, has officially opened a permanent base in the heart of Newcastle’s urban core and digital ecosystem.
Operating for more than a decade and headquartered in Cheshire, Redesmere works with public and private sector organisations on complex, business-critical change. They have an ambition to deliver local value and economic impact through a North East-first approach, bringing capabilities as a trusted transformation delivery partner across the region.
Invest Newcastle has worked closely with Redesmere, supporting them to establish a presence in the city and this announcement further cements Newcastle’s position as one of the UK’s most dynamic technology hubs and reputation as a place to locate and scale a business.
From its new office at The Spire on Pilgrim Street, Redesmere will bring delivery-led expertise in digital transformation, cloud services and artificial intelligence to organisations across the region. The organisations approach is rooted in building strong regional relationships, supporting economic growth and creating opportunities locally. Based in Newcastle and delivering across the whole region, Redesmere intends to grow its local capability responsibly as client demand develops. The company will benefit from access to the city’s world class tech and digital assets, including the National Innovation Centre for Data and a strong talent pipeline coming out of Newcastle and Northumbria universities.
The investment adds to a fast-growing regional ecosystem which is currently worth more than £2billion, employing close to 35,000 people in over 3,500 creative and digital businesses.
Cllr Owen Burbridge, Cabinet Member for Economy, Jobs and Skills at Newcastle City Council, said:

This gives Redesmere a practical platform from which to work directly with organisations in Newcastle and across the North East.
