North East businesses from across the real estate sector are gearing up to showcase the very best of the region’s opportunities on a world stage at MIPIM.

Invest Newcastle, part of NewcastleGateshead Initiative (NGI), announced in October their plans to return to Cannes, France for one of the world’s largest real estate conferences.

The NGI team will lead a public and private sector delegation for the eighth time, with many businesses from across the real estate supply chain having already committed for 2024. Education providers, retail developers, architects, engineering consultancies and property agencies are among the delegates from Newcastle, Gateshead and the wider region.

Newcastle City Council, Gateshead Council and Durham County Council will each be represented at the event alongside private organisations including Avison Young, Pradera Lateral, NCG, Ryder, Newcastle University, Northumbria University, Rolton Group, Naylors Gavin Black, Hanro, Todd Milburn, NEPO, Aptus Construction and FaulknerBrowns.

Jennifer Hartley, Director of Invest Newcastle, at NGI, said:

“I’m thrilled to be welcoming some recent new sponsors to our delegation in Durham County Council, Aptus Construction and Rolton Group as well as long-time supporters of the region’s presence at MIPIM.

“Even within the past 12 months we have seen the region transform, not least with the development on Pilgrim Street rise from the ground at breakneck speeds and I don’t see this pace slowing down any time soon. We have lots to look forward to with Eldon Square announcing a new leisure direction for the shopping centre and Northumbria University’s CHASE and North East Space Skills and Technology Centre (NESST) developments all set to boost jobs and opportunities in the Newcastle.

“MIPIM provides unrivalled access to global investors and decision makers who can enhance the already exciting things happening in the North East of England. I encourage any businesses interested in being part of the region’s story and keen to raise their profile on a global stage to get in touch.”
