Broadoak Asset Management celebrated their 5th anniversary with a series of milestones.  These included moving into new offices in Newcastle and announcing the arrival of two new key appointments; John Seager and Rebecca Morgan.

John Seager was most recently Chief Executive of Siglion, the joint venture regeneration partnership in Sunderland.  John oversaw the masterplanning and commencement of development of a £200m regeneration of the city as well as the asset management of a £30m commercial property portfolio.

Before that John worked with some of the region’s top property companies. After an early career in Commercial Agency in London and Newcastle, he spent 12 years at UK Land Estates, delivering commercial developments across the region as Development Director.

Rebecca Morgan has joined from Knight Frank where she was an Associate Director in the Commercial Agency and Tenant Representation team.  She also spent a year on secondment at Newcastle City Council.

Rebecca has worked on some key development projects including the Stephenson Quarter and Newcastle Helix, which includes Legal & General and Newcastle City Council‘s office buildings The Lumen and The Spark.  She helped land some major lettings including The Princes Trust at Blandford Square, Concentrix at Stephenson Quarter, TSG at Quorum and Condeco at Gainsborough House in Newcastle.

Fergus Trim, Founding Director at Broadoak said, ‘We are delighted to welcome John and Rebecca to the Broadoak team.  This has been our most successful year yet, having concluded a series of major transactions in the North East and Scotland.  There is a real opportunity for us, with the number of new commercial and mixed use developments currently coming through the system in Newcastle and the wider North East’.

As well as welcoming the new senior hires, Broadoak also have moved into new offices in Charlotte Square in Newcastle, close to a number of the major new development sites in the City Centre.  This marks a change having previously been based in North Tyneside.

The end of 2019 also saw Broadoak celebrate their biggest deal to date, the multi million pound sale of Quorum Business Park.  Recent results saw revenues more than double and continue the upward trajectory since the business started in 2014.

John Seager said ‘It is an exciting time in Newcastle with a number of projects in the pipeline.  Being part of the Broadoak team, we will have a larger platform to bring these projects forward and capture value for our partners and clients.’

Broadoak operates as a local partner, working with property investors and developers to maximise property value through development management, place making, active asset management and attracting major occupiers.
