Last night 15 June 2017 Invest Newcastle, a service delivered by NewcastleGateshead Initiative on behalf of Newcastle to attract and secure new investment and jobs for the city, launched their return to the world’s leading property trade show, MIPIM Cannes.
The event, which was attended by over 60 people, launched Invest Newcastle’s plans for MIPIM 2018.
MIPIM brings together the most influential players from across all of the international property sectors and will take place on 13 – 16 March 2018.
Catherine Walker, Inward Investment Director at Invest Newcastle, said: “2018 will mark our third year in attendance at MIPIM. We significantly grew our presence from 2016 to 2017 delivering a full events programme and supporting digital assets, doubling our stand space and increased our partner numbers by over 100%.
“It is important that we continue to have a strong presence at MIPIM in order to secure new investment – supporting the growth of the city and allowing us to meet the demand from our high growth business sectors.
“The support we receive from both the public and private sector, demonstrates a combined ambition to boost the profile of the region and enables us to position Newcastle as a leading European city on a global stage.
“We have ambitious plans for MIPIM 2018 and will continue to build upon our success, demonstrating Newcastle is a city of opportunity and open for business.”
